That evening at the Nandabas', Naota finds the Vespa girl sitting
at the family's dinner table as if that was perfectly normal.
While he is in shock, she is introduced to him as the new housemaid.
She introduces herself Haruko Haruhara. In Naota's room,
Haruko behaves like she owns it and when he corners her, she asks him
about his forehead and he panics. High handed and weird but also mysterious
and cute, she takes over his bed and chases Naota out of the room.
After meeting with Haruko, chaos surrounding Naota keeps accelerating. |

AINAX had the original story and waited for the opportune
time to bring out this OVA. The original story and directing are
by Kazuya Tsurumaki, character designs by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, animation
direction is by Tadashi Hiramatsu.
Neon Genesis Evangelion production staffs have gathered again
for the production of this animation. The script is written
by Yoji Enokido of "Revolutionary Girl Utena" and the art director
is Hiromasa Oguri who was highly evaluated for his work in "Ghost
in the Shell". The animation production is by the Production I.G,
the producer of "Ghost in the Shell", "Jin-Roh" and other universally
highly rated works which helped make this a very high quality film.
The time is probably the present. The location is Mabase.
It could be a local town anywhere; the only difference may be
the abnormally large manufacturing plant of the medical instrument company,

Mechanica (MM) up on the hill. The boy,
Naota Nandaba looks like a common enough sixth grader. He is meeting
with a high school girl in the field by the river after school.
The high school girl is Mamimi Samejima, the girlfriend of his big brother
now studying abroad. He is spending some time with her as he always does
on his way home from school when a motor scooter (a Vespa) heads straight
for him and suddenly runs him over.
The motor scooter rider, the mysterious girl Haruko will do
what she wishes with fainted Naota. Afterwards she throws the words
"You're useless" at him and she leaves with a roar of her scooter.
Mamimi stands there totally okay with what's happening, watching her go
while Naota holds his forehead. That night, something strange happens
to Naota's forehead.
The next day, Naota arrives in school with a band-aid
on his forehead and hears a rumor from a classmate about a girl
on a Vespa. Naota stops by at the hospital after school but finds there
the Vespa girl from the day before waiting for him.
